How it works

Updated October 27th, 2026

Pump v2 is a memecoin launchpad built to be an upgrade on what launching looks like today: fair launches, protection from snipers, and liquidity that grows with every trade. Independent. Not made by pump.fun. It runs on Meteora's contracts on Solana.

Launching a coin

Pick a name, a ticker and a square picture, choose the coin's mode, and press Create coin. Your wallet signs one transaction that creates the coin and pays the deploy fee of 0.25 SOL, plus about 0.02 SOL of account rent that Meteora needs for every new coin.

It all lands together or not at all. If the launch does not go through, nothing is charged.

You can add a first buy. It goes in the same transaction as the launch, so you are always the first buyer of your own coin.

Anti snipe

  • No block 0 bundles. A launch can only be sent through Pump v2. The coin's own key signs last, on our server, so nobody can bundle buys from a crowd of wallets into the launch.
  • A fee that burns snipers. The trading fee is 50% falling to 1% over the first 30 seconds. A bot that buys in the first seconds pays far more than a person who buys a moment later.
  • Your first buy is protected. It is part of the launch itself and pays the normal fee.

Bonding curve and graduation

Every coin has 1,000,000,000 tokens and starts on a bonding curve, where the price rises as people buy. 80% of the supply is sold on the curve. When the curve holds 85 SOL, the coin graduates: the SOL and the other 20% of the supply go into a Meteora pool, and that pool's liquidity is locked for ever.

Meteora moves the coin to its pool by itself. Trading carries on right on the coin's page. The curve completes at a market cap of about 425 SOL.

Liquidity mode and holder mode

When you create a coin you pick what its pool does with its trading fees after it graduates. The choice is fixed at launch.

  • Liquidity mode. 100% of the pool's trading fees go back into the pool. The coin's liquidity gets deeper with every trade, which means smaller price swings on big buys and sells.
  • Holder mode. 25% of the pool's fees go back into the pool, and 75% go to buybacks and holder rewards.

In both modes Meteora keeps its own protocol share of each pool fee, which is how Meteora's pools work everywhere.

Fees

  • Deploy: 0.25 SOL per coin, plus about 0.02 SOL of Meteora account rent.
  • Trading on the bonding curve: 1% per trade after the anti snipe window. It goes to Pump v2, minus Meteora's 20% protocol share.
  • Trading after graduation: the pool's fee works as your coin's mode says (see above).
  • Pump v2 never holds your keys and never trades with your wallet. Every transaction is one you sign yourself.

Stay safe

  • Memecoins are risky. Prices move fast and can go to zero. Only use money you can lose.
  • Anyone can create a coin. A coin being on Pump v2 is not an endorsement.
  • Check a coin's address before you buy. The address is on its page and in the URL.
  • We will never message you first or ask for your seed phrase.
